Tuesday COVID-19 update

HEALTH DEPARTMENT UPDATES STATEWIDE COVID-19 CASE COUNTS
INDIANAPOLIS The Indiana Department of Health today announced that 5,518 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 344,373 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous days dashboard.
A total of 5,598 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 142 from the previous day. Another 266 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.

Decatur County has 1407 positives (7 new) and 7833 tested (25 new). Another resident has died bringing the number of deaths to 45.
Bartholomew County has 3616 positives (69 new) and 27,345 tested (147 new)
Shelby County has 2086 positives (45 new) and 12,521 tested (107 new)
Jennings – 1004 positives (17 new) and 6619 tested (27 new)
Franklin County – 784 positives (17 new) and 4163 tested (36 new)
Rush – 619 positives (12 new) and 4986 tested (23 new)
Ripley – 1606 positives (49 new) and 9196 tested (96 new)

To date, 2,217,258 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,204,581 on Monday. A total of 4,295,987 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
