According to Decatur County Coroner Doug Banks, 50-year old Shawn Scudder of the St. Paul area, died in an accident that occurred Saturday night around 9 on Highway 421 in the St. Omer/Thorntree Lake Area. Banks said it was a one vehicle accident and is under investigation by the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department.
Banks said that the other fatal accident was on Moscow Road and is under investigation by Greensburg City Police and Indiana State Police. According to the EMS incident report, Letts Ambulance responded to the crash at 11th and Moscow Road Sunday shortly before 4:30 PM. That was one of 13 runs for Letts to respond to on ambulance requests Sunday.
Decatur County Coroner was called out four times over the weekend.
