This update follows WTRE’s December 2024 report on the lawsuit filed by the Indiana Attorney General against Redelman’s Deals on Wheels, allegations stated that the company continued to sell vehicles without a dealer license.
On November 4, 2025, an Agreed Judgment was filed, including the consent judgment and a motion for approval submitted by the Indiana Attorney General’s Office. The following day, November 5, 2025, Decatur County Judicial Officer Kenneth Bass approved the agreement. Restitution in the amount of $9,420 was paid to the Decatur County Clerk’s office by Redelman on November 5, 2025, according to court documents.
The State of Indiana, represented by Attorney General Theodore E. Rokita and Deputy Attorney General Mark M. Snodgrass, reached a consent judgment with Redelman’s Deals on Wheels LLC and Emilie Redelman, settling allegations of unlicensed vehicle sales and deceptive consumer practices.
According to court documents, the State’s original complaint sought an injunction, restitution, civil penalties, and costs. Both parties ultimately chose to resolve the matter through a negotiated settlement rather than continued litigation.
Under the terms of the consent judgment, Redelman’s Deals on Wheels LLC and Emilie Redelman are permanently prohibited from advertising, selling, or leasing motor vehicles without a valid Indiana motor vehicle dealer license. They are also barred from engaging in unfair, abusive, or deceptive practices in consumer transactions, in violation of the Indiana Deceptive Consumer Sales Act.
The order allows Emilie Redelman to sell her own personal vehicles, provided they are titled in her name and sold within the limits allowed by state law. The same conditions apply to vehicles sold through other businesses in which she may have an interest, as long as those sales comply with all legal requirements.
In addition to the information above, the court entered judgment in favor of the State for $9,420 in consumer restitution, to be distributed to six affected consumers as follows:
- Vincent Puckett – $800
- Brian Meyers – $1,200
- Brittany Jesse – $1,500
- Angel Mozingo – $900
- Joshua Steelsmith – $3,210
- Scott Wilson – $1,810
The agreement also specifies that it does not prevent private individuals from pursuing their own claims related to the matter.
