Senate Session Concludes for 2026
This week, the General Assembly wrapped up the 2026 session.
This session, four bills I authored were signed into law.
Senate Enrolled Act 55 creates a state soybean marketing development program and a pork marketing development program in the unlikely event the federal programs go away.
Senate Enrolled Act 56 helps address the veterinary shortage in Indiana by giving out-of-state veterinarians and veterinary technicians the opportunity to care for animals in Indiana.
Senate Enrolled Act 230 requires soil and water conservation district boards to appoint individuals to fill supervisory roles if three or more vacancies occur.
Senate Enrolled Act 249 adopts existing animal food administrative rules into law.
Though this session has ended, I will continue to work for you as the General Assembly begins preparing for the next legislative session.
I encourage you to contact me if I can be of assistance to you now or in the months ahead.
