HEALTH DEPARTMENT UPDATES STATEWIDE COVID-19 CASE COUNTS
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health announced today that 1,019 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 658,043 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.A total of 12,039 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 14 from the previous day. Another 428 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.    

Decatur County – 2696 positives (3 new) and 11,476 tests (14 new)
Bartholomew – 7394 positives (22 new) and 37,930 tests (91 new)
Jennings County – 2140 positives (5 new) and 9913 tests (19 new)
Ripley County – 3252 positives (1 new) and 13,003 tests (11 new)
Rush – 1642 positives (3 new) and 7657 tests (12 new)
Shelby County – 4588 positives (4 new) and 18,175 tests (38 new)
Franklin County – 1584 positives (1 new) and 6187 tests (5 new)

To date, 3,093,689 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,088,729 on Tuesday. A total of 7,856,992 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.To find testing sites around the state, visit www.coronavirus.in.gov and click on the COVID-19 testing information link.Hoosiers age 60 and older, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents and first responders who are regularly called to the scene of an emergency to render medical assistance, are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211 if you do not have access to a computer or require assistance.As of today, 920,930 Hoosiers have received a first dose of vaccine, and 482,564 are fully vaccinated.The Indiana Department of Health will host 10 vaccine clinics for eligible Hoosiers around the state from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday this week. Individuals must register in advance at https://ourshot.in.gov. No walk-ups will be allowed, and the clinics are open only to Indiana residents.
