| INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health today announced that 3,686 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 574,119 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.A total of 8,790 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 59 from the previous day. Another 373 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days. Decatur County has 2350 positives (9 new) and 10,229 tested (26 new) Bartholomew County added another death bringing the number to 94. 6122 positives (30 new) and 33,767 tested (102 new) Rush County has 1432 positives (21 new) and 6850 tested (49 new) Jennings County has 1871 positives (10 new) and 8850 tested (30 new) Ripley County has 2845 positives (16 new) and 11,802 tested (49 new) Shelby County has added another death bringing the number to 76. 3912 positives (23 new) and 16,413 tested (56 new) Franklin County has had 33 residents die (1 new death), 1386 positives (12 new) and 5472 tested (32 new) To date, 2,779,991 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,770,157 on Tuesday. A total of 6,220,087 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
