The Decatur County and Ripley County Health Departments are sharing an exciting announcement. The Wellness War, a community-wide initiative designed to encourage Decatur County and Ripley County residents to improve their health through physical activity, healthy habits, and friendly competition. The Wellness War brings together individuals, families, workplaces, and organizations with the shared goal of creating a healthier community while having fun and supporting one another along the way. Points are earned for healthy habits, and a county winner is announced each week.
As part of this effort, both the Decatur County and Southeastern Indiana YMCAs are partnering with the county healthdepartments by offering a free day pass to anyone who visits the either YMCA and mentions the Wellness War. This opportunity allows community members to experience the YMCA’s fitness facilities and wellness resources at no cost. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this offer and join the Wellness War as Decatur and Ripley Counties work together to build healthier lifestyles and stronger communities.
