WTRE news talked with Jay Maddux with the Westport Fire Department
Westport, Letts and Millhousen Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish a room and contents fire in a single wide mobile home Friday. The occupants were not home at the time of the fire. No injuries occurred. Assisting in the efforts were Decatur County Communications, DCSD, WPD, WFD, MTVFD, LFD, Letts EMS, Duke energy, Red Cross.

According to the Fire Department report distributed Saturday morning, firefighters were dispatched to 312 East Sycamore Street in Westport Friday evening around 7:35 PM.
