From the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department
On 05/20/2023 at approximately 9:03 PM deputies responded to vehicle collision on N US 31 near its
intersection with W 800 N. The two vehicle collision resulted in injuries to three occupants all of which
needed medical attention. Two occupants were transported to Columbus Regional Hospital while the
third was flown by LineLine to an Indianapolis area hospital.
US 31 was shut down for approximately 4 hours while the Accident Reconstruction Team documented
the collision scene. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor however this is an ongoing
investigation with no arrests made at this time.
