The South Decatur Cougars battled the Morristown Yellowjackets in round one of the Edinburg Sectional. The first quarter was fast paced as South Decatur took an early lead 19-13. Morristown was able to put some points on the board but the Cougars held them at a 13 point difference 33-20 going into halftime. The third quarter gave South Decatur the biggest lead of the game. The end of the third had South on top 43-36. The Cougars dominated the Yellowjackets in the fourth quarter. South Decatur advances to round two defeating Morristown 61-46. South Decatur will play Edinburg on their home court for round two on Friday March 7 after game one of the night.
