The Greensburg Junior High Cross Country Teams travelled to Ceraland Tuesday night to compete in the Columbus Central Invitational. The Lady Pirates placed 5th out of 11 schools and the Boys team placed 6th.
Madeline Risher led the Girls Varsity team with an 11th place finish out of a total of 67 runners with a new career best time. Lulu Webb and Sophie Buening also ran new PRs and placed in the top 30. Maddie Brewsaugh and Ella Kate Stewart also set new career best times.
In the Boys Varsity Race Quinton Walker placed 5th out of 70 competitors. Quinton set a new personal record of 10:29.1 making him the 5th fastest runner in school history! Other highlights of the evening included Ethan Clifford and Brenner Schutte both running career PRs!
The Pirates compete again Thursday against Columbus Northside.
