PIRATES 8TH GRADE NEVER TRAIL IN VICTORY OVER SOUTH RIPLEY RAIDERS
Pirates never trailed in their 48-20 victory over South Ripley on Saturday.
Matthew Fields scored 20 pts to lead the Pirates.
Pirates went on a 12 pt run to start the game.Leading 12-2,Pirates went on a 18-2 run to pull further away.Pirates had a strong 1st half,leading 34-6 at halftime and never looked back,securing the victory.
Matthew Fields poured in 14 pts in the 1st qt as Pirates outscored South Ripley 22-4
Pirates had a great day shooting from inside the arc,finishing19-29 on twos.Pirates passed the ball well with 10 assists on 20 made baskets.Pirates”s ball pressure forced14 steals in the game.Matthew Fields led the team with 4 steals.Braxton Messer led Pirates with 6 rebounds.Also contributing for the Pirates were Sam Crowell(12 pts),Levi Muckerheide(6pts),Colt McCalvin(6pts),Chance Richards(2pts),and Josh Alexander(2 pts)
