Greensburg Volleyball

Greensburg defeated Franklin County Saturday morning 25-18, 25-10, 25-22 to move to 4-0 in the EIAC, 17-0 overall. It wasn’t our strongest performance by far, but we had glimpses of solid execution. Overall, we weren’t very efficient offensively, our hitting percentage was low and we had many unforced errors,  but I was pleased with our serve reception as they were very aggressive servers. Our leading hitter for the match was Ella Chapman who had 13 kills, followed by Josie Nobbe with 9, and Carlee Adams with 6. Making their presence known with blocking was Ella Chapman with 3 blocks, Leah West with 2 and Josie Nobbe with 2.  Strong serving came from Josie Nobbe who was 29-29 with 4 aces, Abigail Hoeing 15-15 with 1 ace, and Mya Comer was 10-11. Mya also put up 14 assists and Jenna Foster contributed 10. Defensively, Josie Nobbe had 19 digs and Abigail Hoeing had 10. It goes down as a win, which is important, but we have plenty to work on as we move forward.
