Greensburg completed their season with a 22-7 record, making it to the Elite 8 before losing to Silver Creek in the finals of the regional. In the first round of regional, we defeated a very good Evansville Memorial team in a five set thrilling match 15-25, 25-23, 26-28, 25-23, 15-12. This was by far the highlight match of our season. We showed a lot of heart, determination, and grit to be the first team in GHS history to make it to the Elite 8 of the State tourney. Unfortunately, the finals of the regional didn’t go as well. We were defeated by a very experienced, skilled Silver Creek team 22-25, 15-25, 17-25. It was a successful season for the girls and with only one senior, there is a lot to look forward to. —
