| The North Decatur Charger Cross Country traveled to Eagle Park in Brown County on Saturday to compete in Sectional action and the athletes ran tremendous races on the day. Leading the way for North was a trio of Chargers in Jackson White (18:54 PR), Eli Weisenbach (18:55) and Harper Gunn (19:02 new career PR). Junior Sam Cathey (21:24) ran an outstanding race as did fellow teammates making their tournament debut in Cletus Rennekamp (21:31), Jayden Lawrence (21:59) and Clayton Ruf (23:12). This concludes the season for the Charger boys team. However, they had an unbeliveable season that saw many strides and improvements. The future looks bright as all 10 runners return next season for North and the competition within the team will fuel on better times. This was a great group of young men to Coach and I am looking forward to seeing their development in the off season! |
