North Decatur Chargers played Wes-Del high school in Friday night football action. The Chargers shut out Wes-Del through all four quarters. Final Score 51-0.

The charging Chargers capped a historic undefeated regular season with a 51-0 trouncing of the visiting Wes-Del Warriors and is so doing, became the outright champions of the MEC conference. The Chargers, who joined the MEC last year, remained unscored upon in the conference. The Chargers jumped to a quick lead, scoring on their first possession and would find the end zone 5 more times in the first half. Overall, the Chargers would amass 351 yards on 37 offensive plays. Reid Messer would contribute 115 yard rushing and 50 yards receiving. Carson Parmer ended the evening completing 11 of 15 passes for 134 yards. The tale of the tape, however, is the Chargers’ defense, which only allowed 58 yards of total offense from the Warriors. The Chargers will now face Tri-High in the first round of sectional 46.
