In a rescheduled match from April, the Eastern Hancock Royals came to North Branch to take on the Chargers at home on Monday. The match took place on the Bridge nine, a par 35. The Chargers took the win in their second home match of the year.
Jack Koehne was the medalist with a score of 39, his third straight round under 40. Owen Eldridge added a 42 to the scoresheet, while Austin Gould carded a 43, and Cooper Parmer shot a 45 to provide the 4th score. Mason Morris shot a 48 as the 5th varsity golfer. This gave the Chargers a team score of 169 to the Royals 183.
The Junior Varsity also got to play a rare match tonight. The top four scores for the JV were Scott Morford with a 48, Aiden Luttel and Brayden Yeager each with scores of 50, and Evan Yoder with a score of 52, beating the Royals JV by a score of 200-223. Micah Smith shot a 56, Mason Smith ended the night with a 62, Cooper Land carded a 64, and James Lindroth shot a 65.
The Chargers have a big weekend coming up with their senior night against Jac-Cen-Del on Friday, and then the MHC Tournament at Timbergate GC on Saturday.
