The North Decatur Charger Cross Country teams opened their season on Thursday evening running at Batesville in a triangular meet with the host Bulldogs and South Decatur Cougars.
The Chargers came away with a 2nd place finish behind some solid times and great efforts for the first meet of the season.Leading the way for the Lady Chargers was sophomore Norah Amberger with a time of 25:05 finishing in 13th place. Following behind Amberger was Dorothy Robbins in 14th with a time of 26:00 and Ava Lecher in 15th in 27:17. Emerson Gunn finished in 28:37 with Lauren Miller in 30:08 and Olivia Reisman in 30:59 to round out the scoring for the Lady Chargers.
North Decatur returns to action on Saturday, August 23 in the Jermey Wright Small School Invite at the Blue River Cross Country Course in Shelbyville.
