Rushville JV scored 14 runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat North Decatur Junior Varsity Chargers 17-2 on Wednesday.
 
North Decatur Junior Varsity Chargers got on the board in the top of the second inning after Kaylee Weaver walked, and Navaeh Schwartz doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
 
Rushville JV flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring 14 runs on five hits to take the lead, 14-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Claire Angle that drove in two.
 
Rushville JV added three runs in the third after North Decatur Junior Varsity Chargers committed an error.
 
Brynlee Green stepped in the circle first for North Decatur Junior Varsity Chargers. The right-handed pitcher surrendered four hits and 13 runs (one earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking six. Caileah stepped in the circle first for Rushville JV. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three and walking three.


Schwartz led North Decatur Junior Varsity Chargers with one run batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-1 on the day. Haylee Schoettmer, Schwartz, and Jocelyn Jackson each collected one hit for North Decatur Junior Varsity Chargers.
 
Payton Moore drove the middle of the lineup, leading Rushville JV with three runs batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Claire Angle, Moore, Nell Davis, Forever Butter, and Ki Flannery each collected one hit for Rushville J. Rushville JV had patience at the plate, piling up 10 walks for the game. Caileah, Rea Frye, and C Marcum led the team with two bases on balls each. Rushville J turned one double play in the game.
