  The Lady Charger Volleyball Team was named Rushville Tournament Champs yesterday after going 3-0 for the day! The Chargers opened up the day facing Centerville and won in 3 sets 25-17, 20-25, 15-12.The second match of the day was against Connersville and also went to 3 sets 25-17, 20-25, 15-12. The Lady Chargers ended the day vs. Rushville & won in 2 sets 25-15 & 25-21. It was an all around team effort today as we had girls playing in new positions and they all adjusted well! For the day, Sami Luttel set 184/184 with 79 assists, 4 aces, 10 kills & 18 digs! Caroline Stapp led the offensive attack with 42 kills. She also added 4 aces and 23 digs. Madi Allen stepped up and took on the role of our other OH and played all-around, contributing both offensively & defensively. For the day, Allen had 15 kills, 4 aces and 21 digs! Aubrey Kennelly had a great day all-around with 7 kills & 22 digs. Ella Kunz added 15 kills & 3 blocks Hannah Gorrell had 17 digs & 4 aces along with a great serve receive performance for the day. Tyce Robbins added 6 digs & Sydney Rohls 11 kills. Congratulations Lady Chargers! We are now 11-2 and have our first Conference match Tuesday, 9/6 @ South Decatur! posted by agauck |
