
Barbara A. Creamer, 69, of Westport, passed away at 7:33 a.m. on Monday, May 5,
2025, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born on December 24, 1955, in
Greensburg, the daughter of Clifford Dale & Alma Rosella (Dean) Campbell.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. She graduated from South
Decatur High School in 1974. She attended Columbia College in Missouri and
Indiana Wesleyan College in Shelbyville. She was a substitute elementary school
teacher for Decatur County Schools, Jennings County School, Hauser Schools and
Bartholomew County Schools. She was a member of the Alert Methodist Church.
Barbara was Miss Congeniality at the Decatur County 4-H Fair in 1972. She
enjoyed camping, creating plastic canvases, riding motorcycles, gardening and
canning. Her favorite flower was the Salmon colored Geranium. She married James
D. Creamer on March 2, 1999, in Greensburg and he survives. Other survivors
include her daughters, Nikki (Nathan) Burke of Missouri and April Chauncy of
Shelbyville; her sons, Jason (Leann) Henderson and David (Jennifer) Creamer both
of Westport, and Joe (Jamie) Creamer of Greensburg; her sisters, Rosemary
(Randy) Murphy of Westport and Linda Lou Creamer of Greensburg; her brother, Joe
Campbell of Greensburg; her 24 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her parents; brother, Timothy Campbell; grandchild, Phonix
Harris. The graveside service will be held at Mt. Aerie Cemetery on Friday, May
9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Connie Barr officiating. The Bass & Gasper
Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Westport Volunteer Fire Department through the
