Bertha I. Black, 85

Bertha I. Black, 85, of Greensburg, passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Thursday, March
19, 2026, at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. She was born on September 5,
1940, in Rodney, Indiana the daughter of David Ollie and Lenna Elizabeth (White)
Stuart. She was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and had been a custodian
at Greensburg Community Schools. She enjoyed decorating cakes and making flower
arrangements for weddings. Bertha married Robert E. Black on January 1, 1956, in
Greensburg, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2021. She is
survived by her daughter, Carol Sue Nobbe of Greensburg; her sons, Donald Eugene
(Diana) Black of Greensburg and Kenny Dale Black of Westport; her sisters,
Dorothy Motz and Linda S. Foster, both of Greensburg; her 14 grandchildren; 35
great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death
by her parents; her husband, Robert; her daughter, Donna Jean Marsters; her son-
in-law, Cliff Nobbe; great granddaughter, Arianna Clark; sisters, Martha Pyles,
Thelma Elliott and Rosemary Arney; brothers, David Ollie Stuart, Jr., Stanley
Wayne Stuart and Russell Lee Stuart. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m.
on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor
Stephen Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. A time of
visitation will be held on Monday, March 23 from 11:00 a.m. until time of
service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to
