Brad A. Bryant, 50, of Greensburg, passed away at 7:30 A.M. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Aspen Place Health Campus. He was born on August 30, 1970 in Greensburg, the son of M. Bradley Bryant and Beverly (Coomer) Bryant. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. Brad graduated from South Decatur High School in 1988. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and English from Indiana University in 1993, his Master’s Degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan in 1995 and was pursuing his Master’s Degree in School Counseling at Indiana Wesleyan. He was an English teacher for 25 years at Decatur County Community Schools and had been a Guidance Counselor for 3 years at South Ripley Schools. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Greensburg and a past member of the Greensburg Country Club. Brad was head coach for boys & girls basketball for 10 years at both South Decatur and North Decatur High Schools where he was named Mid Hoosier Conference Coach of the Year in 2013. He was an avid golfer, I.U. Basketball fan, enjoyed fishing, landscaping and lawn care. He was active in his children’s school activities and enjoyed having family around, cookouts, traveling and beaches. He was married to Karmin G. Oldham on August 6, 1994 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She preceded him in death on June 26, 2013. He married Amy Land on October 11, 2014 in Rushville, Indiana and she survives. Other survivors include his father, M. Bradley (Jennifer) Bryant of Edinburgh; his mother, Beverly Bryant of Greensburg; his children, Madelyn B. Bryant, Alayna C. Bryant and Collin H. Bryant all of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Karmin G. Bryant and his grandparents, Leonard & Myrtle Coomer and Milton & Stella Bryant. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the First Christian Church in Greensburg with Pastor Ray Sweet officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport, Indiana.
