Carmen Louise Ruble, 93, Clarksburg, passed away at her daughter’s home with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Carmen was born on November 11, 1928, in Clarksburg as the daughter of Irvin Hite and Bessie Clingenpeel Hite.
Carmen married Charles Edwin Ruble on July 20, 1946. They were married for almost 72 years until his death in 2018. Carmen loved to do word searches and crochet. Family was an important part of her life and she loved it when they came to visit. Carmen will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Carmen is survived by her children: Barbara Van Hook of Bloomington, Charlotte (Norm) Coleman of Indiantown, FL., Marcia (Don) Rolfe of Rushville, Steven (Debbie) Ruble of Cincinnati, OH, Duane (Mary) Ruble of Greensburg; grandchildren: Misty (Tim) Miller, Melisa Rolfe, Steven (Lisa) Ruble, David (Heather) Rolfe, Bradley (Sharon) Ruble, Wendy (Jody) Adams, Paulette (John) Boone; 14 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles E. Ruble; son, Charles E. Ruble; son-in-law, Philip Van Hook; siblings: Raymond Hite, John Hite, James Hite, Agnes Brown, and Mary Shook.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12:00 noon with Rev. Peter Casalino officiating. Burial will take place at Richland Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
