Connie Joan Meyer, 88, of Greensburg passed away on June 13, 2022. She was born on May 1, 1934, the daughter of Nicholas and Freda Hellmich Navarra.
Connie married Norbert Meyer on October 17, 1953. They would have celebrated 65 years of marriage before his passing on October 6, 2018.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Meyer) Campbell of Greensburg; son, David J. (Roxie) Meyer of Greensburg; grandchildren, Nick and Jason Meyer, both of Greensburg; Christopher Campbell of Columbus and Katelyn Campbell of Carmel; and a brother, Robert (Joan) Navarra.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Helen Navarra; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Ruth Buerger.
She was an active member of St. Mary’s Church in Greensburg. For several years, she worked at Hooks Drug Store and Walmart, both in Greensburg, retiring in 1986. Connie participated in Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Greensburg County Club. She enjoyed traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains and beach resorts in Florida and South Carolina. Sewing, reading and shopping were also favorite activities. Her main interest was being a loving, attentive wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always ready to lend a helping hand with a smile.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 9:00 – 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am, officiated by Fr. John Meyer.
