Deborah Jean Lazenby, 75, of Westport passed away at 3:04 a.m. on Thursday,
November 21, 2024, at Crown Pointe Senior Living Center in Greensburg. She was
born on April 17, 1949, in Jackson County, Indiana, the daughter of Flotilla
Williams. She was raised in Jackson County and moved to Westport in 1978 and had worked
at Wheaton Tubing. She enjoyed spending time with family, taking photos and
spending time at the beach. She married Patrick Cecil Lazenby on June 21, 1986,
in Columbus. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2018. Surviving are her
daughters, Melissa Bailey (Gary Roman) of Westport, Mendy Dawson of Westport and
Christena Sweet (Gary Davis) of Greensburg; her sons, Brian Lazenby of Westport
and Robert (Michelle) Sackett of Greensburg; her sisters, Rita Williams of
Brownstown, Vivian Eisele of Brownstown, Joyce Piatt of Freetown, Sandy Williams
of Brownstown and Phyllis Belcher of North Vernon; her brothers, Eric Williams
and Bob (Linda) Williams both of Freetown; 15 grandchildren; several great
grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
mother, her husband; sister, Gail Williams and her brother, Randy Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024,
at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Darin Edwards officiating. The
burial will be at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on
Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Westport Volunteer Fire Department through the
