Derrick Michael Dunaway, 28, of Greensburg, IN passed away on February 6, 2023. He was born on February 10, 1994 in New Castle, IN to Daryl Dunaway and Jennifer Bowen. Derrick married Casey Brown on July 9, 2022. He worked at Honda Manufacturing as a supervisor.
He loved cars, motorcycles, airsoft, and paintball. He very passionate about his online gaming and his family. He loved leading and helping others and hanging out with his siblings and loved ones. He was a proud player on his high school football team. He was a hard working go getter. He was creative especially when it came to cooking as he said he was going to be his sister Whitney’s chef for her restaurant someday. He had a tough shell but was kind hearted and loving.
Survivors Include: Wife, Casey Dunaway; Children, Emma Brown, Makinnley Dunaway, Jaxson Dunaway; Father, Daryl (Angie) Dunaway; Mother, Jennifer (Jerry) Dickson; Sisters, Emily Sebastian, Whitney Dunaway, Katelynn Dunaway, Harlee Dunaway, Jasmin Corban, Anna and Stevie Huddleston; Brothers, Brady Dunaway, Glendon Dunaway, Nick McCowan, Joe Corban, and Matthew Bentley; Grandparents, Larry Bowen and several Aunts, Uncles and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Derrick was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandmother, Faye Dunaway and his Maternal Grandmother, Deborah Cook (Prater) and his Brother, Cooper Bowen.
Funeral Services for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. A visitation will follow from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
