Donald Deen Boots, 86

Donald Deen Boots, 86, of Greensburg passed away on November 1, 2022.  He was born on August 29, 1937 in Appleton, MO, the son of Maywood and Eva Collins Boots.  Donald was a graduate of Syracuse University.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.  On October 22, 1965 he married Waneta Flannery.  Donald worked at American Lift in Greensburg, In and Service Spring co in Indianapolis.  Donald was an avid fisherman, loved watching IU basketball, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and his grandkids play high school and collegiate sports.  Donald was the head coach of one of the first women’s softball teams in Decatur County.

Survivors include: Wife, Waneta Boots; Daughters, Charlotte (Alan) Hendrix, Donita (Mark) Ewing and Rebecca Masters; Son, Randy (Carol) Boots; Half Sisters, Linda Boots, Vicki Beeley, Cathy Fields; Half Brothers, Dale Purington and Robert Purington; Grandchildren, Madeline Barnett, Andrew Hendrix, Austin Schultz, Keauna Schultz, Mya Schultz, Donald Boots, Christopher Boots, Kevin Boots, Jonathan Isbell, Chrisandra Buman and Joshua Land; and 13 Great Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his Parents; Twin Sister, Donis Boots; Daughter, Robin Boots; Son, Rick Boots; and Half Sister, Marie Coburn.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on November 4, 2022 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 12:00 until the time of the funeral at 1:00.  Burial will follow at the Hebron Cemetery in Adams, In.  Memorial Contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association or to the Our Hospice of Decatur County.  Online condolences can be made to the family at www.gilliland-howe.com
