Greensburg Water Board

The Greensburg Water Board met on Tuesday.

The board recognized board member Brian Nobbe who unfortunately lost his battle to cancer. The board asked God to look over his family and grant them eternal peace as he will be greatly missed.

This month’s employee recognition went to Eric Kramer. Kramer was born and raised in Greensburg and was a Decatur County Sheriff Deputy from 1998-2018, when he retired. On July 16, 2018 he became a water plant operator and had been there for the past 5 years. Kramer has outstanding work ethics and a great attitude. Their favorite part of the job is the comradery and he looks forward to going everyday.

Darren Burkhart presented 3 items from HNTB for the new surface water treatment plant. The last pay request 31 for $50,041, change order 6 for $33,440, and the certificate of completion. All three items were approved. The total cost for the project was $20,087,415.50 with a .5% in change orders, which is incredibly low.

Rick Denny presented the lift station quotes. Last month they received 4 lift station quotes and wanted to do further information on the lowest bid. The lowest bid had everything they needed and has been increased to a 20k pound lift. The total bid price is $16,425 installed. This was approved.
