Evangeline Grace Biddinger, 96, of Westport, passed away at 1:45 p.m. on
Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Aspen Place in Greensburg. She was born on June 27, 1924 in Decatur County, the daughter of Harry and Grace (Evans) Carder. She had been a lifelong resident of Decatur County and had graduated in 1942 from
Sandcreek High School. She had retired from Otter Creek Golf Course. She was a member of the Westport United Methodist Church, Otter Creek and Greensburg Country Clubs. Evangeline was an avid golfer, enjoyed flowers and playing the
organ at church. She married John L. Biddinger in Laurel, Indiana on November 27, 1947. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2005. Survivors include her daughter, Annette (Scott) Perkins of Westport; her son, Ross (Barbara) Biddinger of Lafayette; her sister, Carolyn Brewsaugh of Greensburg; her grandchildren, Brooke Biddinger-Clark, Jason Biddinger, Holly Biddinger-Koehler, Jessica Perkins Grimes, Casey Jo Biddinger Spencer and Matt Perkins and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Alan Biddinger; her sisters, Martha Shera, Amy Lawson and Phyllis Johnston; her brothers, Harry, John, Donald and Jim Carder. There will be a private graveside service held for the immediate family. The Bass & Gasper Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the funeral arrangements. Burial will be at the Westport Cemetery with Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice.
