George Jr Meadors, 54, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. He was born January 8, 1967 in Corbin, Kentucky, son of the late Andy George Meadors and Lillian Doris (Reese) Merida.
George was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of the Dearborn Baptist Church, Greensburg Eagles, and Greensburg American Legion. He was an Avid sports fan, especially UK basketball. He loved to read and enjoyed watching Nascar. He worked as an Inventory Analyst at Honda.
He is survived by his mother, Lillian Doris Merida of Milan, IN; step father, Calvin Merida of Milan, IN; significant other, Mary Moore of Greensburg, IN; 2 sons, Andrew (Hannah) Meadors of Santa Claus, IN, Jacob (fiance Megan Kessens) Meadors of Batesville, IN; 2 step sons, Josh Brown of Destin, FL, Joey (Suzanne) Brown of Aurora, IN; 3 brothers, Calvin Wesley Merida of Wabash Valley, IN, Jason (Jennifer) Merida of Milan, IN, Eric (Tabitha) Merida of Anderson, IN; sister, Melissa Merida of Milan, IN; and 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andy George Meadors; and his son, Alec Meadors.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Dearborn Baptist Church, Aurora, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at Dearborn Baptist Church, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 6pm, with Pastor Darrell Sparks officiating.
