Jack D. Ogle, 87, of Greensburg, passed away at 8:44 a.m. on Tuesday, January
30, 2024, at his residence. He was born on September 13, 1936, in Alert, Indiana
the son of Ollen and Delilah (Romine) Ogle. He was a lifelong resident of
Decatur County and was a 1954 graduate of Jackson Township High School. Jack was
a lifelong farmer. He drove a school bus for 13 years at Decatur County
Community Schools and was employed for 30 years as an agent for Decatur County
Farmers Mutual Insurance where he also served on the Board of Directors. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Jack married Charlotte Ferdinand on
November 10, 1956, in Westport. She preceded him in death on January 13, 2021.
Survivors include his daughter, Cyndi (Charlie) Ogle-Owens of Greensburg; son,
Lincoln (Julie) Ogle of Indianapolis; sister, Connie (Bill) Witkemper of
Greensburg; brother, Chester Ogle of Vevay; step-granddaughter: Ashley (Dave)
Foster and step-great granddaughter, Riley Monroe. He was preceded in death by
his parents, his wife, Charlotte and his sister, Rosie Durham. According to his
wishes he will be cremated and there will be no visitation or service. A
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Bass & Gasper Funeral Home and
Crematory has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Memorial
