James “Jim” Wayne Fuqua, Sr., 59

James “Jim” Wayne Fuqua Sr. age 59, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday July 11, 2021.  James was born on July 22, 1961, the son of the late James and Jeraldine (Flint) Fuqua.He has been a lifelong Osgood resident.  Jim married Chandra Dilk on April 16, 2000.  Jim spent his life in the construction business, working and owning JC Carpentry.  He had self-taught himself on numerous projects over the years.  He enjoyed making people smile and was as genuine a person as you would ever find. Jim enjoyed being around his house, from watching his favorite Mash episode or catching laps of a NASCAR race, tv was a favorite pastime.  He liked listening to music and fishing many local ponds.  However, his largest smiles and greatest loves came when his grandchildren would come around.  He had been an active member of the Nazarene Church of Osgood.Jim will be deeply missed by wife Chandra, sons Joe (Sierra) Rangel, James (Kala) Fuqua Jr., and Alex Fuqua, daughters Amanda Rangel, Anna (Brad) Hatoway, and Erica Fuqua, brother Neil (Hope) Fuqua, sister Laurel (Ron) Fuqua, grandchildren; Mazzy, Jenna, Hadley, Sailor, Isaiah, Laurel, Brianna, Hayden, and Ryder.  He was preceded in death by his parents, son Justin Rangel and daughter Laurel Fuqua.Visitation will be held on Friday July 16, 2021, from 1-4 pm. at Neal’s Funeral home in Osgood.  Funeral services will be held at 4 pm., also at Neal’s.  Burial will follow at Greendale Cemetery, outside of Osgood.  Online condolences may be place at Nealsfuneralhome.net Memorials can be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
