Janice Elaine Hoover, 61, of Blountville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at her residence. She was born on August 14, 1961 in Beech Grove, Indiana the daughter of Kenneth Eugene & Mary Louise (Beikman) Coons. She was raised by Judith Ann (Beikman) Grimsley-Hall after her mother’s passing. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University. She was a member of the American Legion Post #129 in Greenburg and the Bristol Tennessee Women’s Auxiliary. Janice enjoyed traveling, fishing, shopping and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Kendra Marie (Edward) Brock of Goshen; sisters, Cynthia (Michael) Watts of Columbus, Debbie (Donald) Martin and Helen Sample both of Greensburg and Fenisha (Robin) Young of Westport; brothers, Kenneth Lee Coons, Robert Coons and James McNulty all of Greensburg, George Anthony (Becky) Coons of Midlothian, Virginia and her grandson, Sam Brock of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Mike Bartlett officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26 from 5:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to assist with funeral expenses, the American Heart Association or the Salvation Army through the funeral home.
