Joan Elizabeth Luttel, 91

Joan Elizabeth Luttel, 91, of Greensburg, passed away at 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 1, 1929 in Enochsburg, Indiana the daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth (Segar) Laker. She was born and raised in Enochsburg and has lived a majority of her life in Decatur County. She retired from Frisch’s Big Boy Restaurant in Greensburg in 1995. Joan was a past member of American Legion and Moose Lodge in Greensburg. She enjoyed cooking, puzzle books and bingo. She married Alphonse Bernard Luttel in Enochsburg on August 7, 1948 and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1997. Survivors include her daughters, Rose (Bud) Perdue of Greensburg, Marian Haley of Greensburg, Marilyn (Thomas) Grimes of Burney, Diana Luttel of New Mexico, Shirley Haley of Burney and Kimberly Jajuga (Brian Friend) of New Point; her sons, Robert (Phyllis) Laker of Enochsburg, David (Debbie) Luttel of Greensburg and Richard Luttel of Greensburg; 26 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Kenneth Bernard Luttel; sister, Agnes Bessler; brothers, Henry Laker & Leonard Laker; son-in-laws, William Green, Stanley Jajuga, Loren Haley, Jr. & Harold Haley; and grandson, Mike Green. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Paul Wenning officiating. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 1:00 until time of service at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
