Larry “Lar Dog” Colson, 70, passed away on March 24, 2026 in Columbus, IN. He was born on February 25, 1956 in Greensburg, IN, the son of William S. and Janet Lee (Mozingo) Colson.
Larry graduated from Greensburg Community High School in 1974. He took a lot of pride in his work of over 40 years as owner of Colson Appraisal Service, and was proud to be one of the three developers of Cottonwood Lake and subdivision. Larry was a longtime member of The Eagles Lodge.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Abby (Kyle) Kolb and Jody (Jeremiah) Westerfeld; grandchildren, Regan (Issiah) Kuntz and Frann Westerfeld; great grandson, Callan Kuntz; sister, Jill (Paul) Wilson; brother, Jim (Angie) Colson; three nieces, one nephew, several great nieces and great nephews, and his beloved furchild, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 11:00 am until the time of funeral service at 1:00 pm. Kyle Kolb will be officiating.
