Lila Bernice Ogle, 88, of Greensburg, passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Sunday,
December 4, 2022, at the Morning Breeze Health Care Center in Greensburg. She
was born April 1, 1934, in Elgin, Illinois. The daughter of John Harvey and
Thelma Rae (Darling) Sharp. She attended North Vernon High School. Lila had
worked for Decatur County Memorial Hospital, the Bartholomew County Hospital and
also at the South Decatur High School Cafeteria. She was a member of the
Community Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed bird watching and cooking. She
married Robert Ogle on January 24, 1953, at the Vernon Baptist Church. He
survives along with her daughters, Cynthia Kay (Mark) Rose, Karen Diane Pfeiffer
and Wanda Eileen (Timothy) Lienhoop all of Greensburg; her son, Robert Dale
(Stephanie) Ogle of Greensburg; her eight grandchildren and fifteen great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gary Duane
Ogle; her sister, Elsie Christine McKinney; her brothers, Norman Eldan Sharp,
Wallace Austin Sharp and Byford Glen Sharp; her grandson, Timothy Pieffer and
great grandson, Samuel Schwering. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on
Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Rev. Perry
Cook officiating. Burial will follow at the Bear Creek Cemetery. Friends may
call on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.at the funeral
home. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the Community Church of Nazarene. Online
