Michael W. McFarland, 61, of Greensburg, passed away at 2:49 A.M. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. He was born on
January 31, 1960 in Indianapolis, the son of Roscoe T. & Betty (Kitchen)
McFarland. He had been a resident of Decatur County the majority of his life.
Michael enjoyed sports, riding his bike, bowling, visiting and helping people.
He is survived by sisters, Darlene (Dale) Slaven and Linda Quinn both of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Claudette Wilson and Jane Stucker; brothers, Russell Victor McFarland, Sr. and Hershel McFarland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Laura Apostol officiating. According to Michael’s wishes he will be cremated and burial will take place at a later date at the Westport Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
