Raymond D. Powers, 62, of Columbus, passed away at 6:52 p.m. on Friday,
February 19, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus. He was born
on April 4, 1958 in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was the son of William I. &
Betty Jean (Obenchain) Powers. He was a former Westport resident. Raymond
was employed by Developmental Services, Inc. in Columbus. He is survived
by his sisters, Robin Kearney of Columbus and Rhonda Trenkamp of
Greensburg; brother, William I. Powers, Jr. of Westport and several
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral
will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the
Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Pastor Jerry Ridge will be
officiating. Burial will follow at Rodney Cemetery. Family and friends
may call on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral
home. We ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines once inside
