SHELBYVILLE – Reah V. (Stevens) Lininger, age 88, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 at Major Hospital. She was born in Sullivan, Indiana on September 28, 1932 to Wilbur D. Stevens and Beulah A. (Riggs) Stevens. She graduated from Graysville High School. She was married to Charles “Chuck” William Lininger.
Reah worked for Indiana Bell for many years as a budgeting specialist before retiring. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Greenfield.
She is survived by her children, Michael W. (Linda) Dooley of Indianapolis, Jon S. Dooley of Greensburg, Lori D. Lininger of Bloomington; sister, Helen (Carl) Hooley of Terre Haute; brother, Robert Stevens of Martinsville; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; parents, Wilbur and Beulah; sisters, Roseanne Rooksberry and Colleen Watts; and brother, Wilbur Stevens.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 1741 S State St, Greenfield, Indiana, 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
