Travis Kevin Gatewood, 32, of Columbus, Indiana passed away at 6:12 a.m. on
September 18, 2025, at his residence. He was born on March 7, 1993, in Columbus,
Indiana the son of Tracy Kevin Gatewood and Deanna Raye (Mace) Jessee. He was a
lifelong resident of Bartholomew County and was employed as a heavy machine
operator for Gehring Underground. Travis loved golfing, fishing and being
outdoors. He loved hanging out with his friends, family, his kids and his niece
and nephew. He married Rhea Dawn Ghislain on August 9, 2011, in Greensburg and
she survives. Other survivors include his father, Tracy (Paula) Gatewood of
Westport, and mother, Deanna (Greg) Jessee of Columbus; his daughters, Gracie
Gatewood and Trystan Gatewood both of Columbus; his son, Jackson Gatewood of
Columbus; father-in-law, Todd Davis of Westport; sister-in-law, Aryn (Landon
Shera) Davis of Westport; niece, Zaylah Brown of Westport; nephew, Zayden Brown
of Westport. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Judy
Gatewood, Jerry and Beverly Mace and his mother-in-law, Angie Davis. Funeral
services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Bass
& Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Dennis Chastain officiating. Burial
will follow at Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday,
September 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial
