Velma Lucile Murray, 76, of Greensburg, passed away at 6:57 p.m. on Friday, June
2, 2023, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 3, 1946, in
Greensburg, the daughter of Leon and Lena (Knight) Lehman. She had been a
resident of Decatur County for most of her life. Velma was a member of the
Cornerstone Baptist Church in Greensburg and enjoyed crocheting, bird watching,
feeding squirrels and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She
married Edward Lee Murray on July 18, 1962, in Clarksburg, Indiana. He preceded
her in death on February 14, 2008. She is survived by her daughters, Monica
(Donny) Balser, Cindy (Daryl) Koors, Glenda (Chris) Robertson and Christy Moore,
all of Greensburg; her son, Jeff (Jodie) Murray of Greensburg; her sisters, Mary
Lou Fullencamp and Dorothy Burton both of Greensburg; her brothers, John (Ann)
Lehman of Westport and David (Martha) Lehman of Conroe, Texas; her thirteen
grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son-in-law, Chad Moore; her
sister, Sarah Idlewine and her brother, George Lehman. Funeral services will be
conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Cornerstone Baptist
Church in Greensburg with Pastor Chuck Gerrian and Pastor Kevin Cain
officiating. Burial will follow at the Rockcreek Cemetery in Westport. A time of
visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time
of service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Bass & Gasper Funeral home has been
