Ripley County Sheriff’s Department post
On Friday, June 2, 2023, it was reported that there was a farming accident at Vogt Farms on SR 129, near Batesville Indiana. During the investigation it was discovered that Jerry Vogt (73), of Batesville Indiana, had passed away as a result of the accident.
Agencies responding included the Batesville Fire Department, Batesville Police Department, Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, and the Indiana State Police.
The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police.
