William “Will” Bennett, 47, of North Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at I.U. University Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on February 18, 1974 in Madison, the son of Rose Ann Harmon. He enjoyed hiking, animals, being in the country and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved Jesus more than anything! He is survived by his mother, Rose Ann Harmon of Versailles; his fiancée, Stephanie Smith of North Vernon; his daughters, Tesa (Brian Clark) Bennett of North Vernon, Victoria (Dalton Davis)Smith of Seymour and Trinity Bennett of North Vernon; his son, Tylor Bennett of North Vernon; his sister, Terri Holden of Cadiz, Kentucky; his brothers, Dale Bennett of Colorado and Gerald Bennett of Jeffersonville; his grandchildren, Laikyn Clark, Lillie Clark, Noah Clark, Damarion Smith, Langston Davis & Layla Clark; his spiritual parents, Ron & Beth Ford of Butlerville. Will met Ron & Beth 10 years ago and he also met Jesus. His life changed dramatically. He was kind, gentle, respectful, honest, loved his family and Jesus. His life had been extremely troubled. We are so proud of the man he became. Will finally has the peace that he longed for, for many years. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Restoration Fellowship Church of God in Butlerville, Indiana. Pastor Roger Dean & Ron Ford will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Scipio Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 until 12:00 p.m. at the church with a meal at Noon and service at 1:00 p.m. The Bass & Gasper Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the funeral arrangements.
