Serving a search warrant yielded arrest in Bartholomew County

On 09/06/2024 deputies from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Columbus SWAT team executed a search warrant on a residence in the 400 blk of 3rd St in Elizabethtown. The search was based on information that was gathered earlier implicating Christopher Henson, 48yo of Elizabethtown, for allegedly dealing narcotics. The search of the residence resulted in locating a substantial amount of methamphetamine, syringes, scales and other drug paraphernalia. Henson was also found to have a previous dealing conviction.

After Henson’s arrest deputies discovered that before he could be taken into custody Henson had swallowed a significant amount of alleged fentanyl. Henson was then transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for evaluation and treatment. After the completion of his treatment Henson was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where he was booked on the charges involving allegations of: Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Obstruction of Justice, Possession of a Syringe, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possess ion of Paraphernalia. He is currently being held on a 72 hour hold.

This is a preliminary investigation. All persons are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
