*UPDATE Indiana State Police Investigating the Death of Connersville Man


Announcement:

(Connersville, Indiana) Special Prosecutor Jason Ray has announced Joshua Lee Farmer, 28, of Connersville has been charged with the August 16th 2022 murder of Thomas Combs of Connersville investigated by the Indiana State Police and in the September 10th 2022 murder of Joshua Durham of Connersville investigated by the Connersville Indiana Police Department.

The Indiana State Police Labratory Division concluded forensic evidence found at both crime scenes linked Farmer to both of the victims. 

Farmer was arrested and is being held without bond.  Farmer had an initial hearing on Friday, March 1st, 2024. 

*All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

(Connersville, Indiana) Detectives from the Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a Connersville man early yesterday morning.  

Around 8:00 A.M., Indiana State Police detectives from the Pendleton District responded to Dale Cemetery (807 N. Gregg Road, Connersville, Indiana) for a report of a deceased male.  When officers arrived, they located the body of a white, male in his early 50’s.  The victim, has been identified as 53-year-old Thomas Combs of Connersville.  Combs was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fayette County Coroner Cord Coyle.  His family has been notified.

An autopsy has been scheduled and a cause of death will be determined during that time.
