Nell Bishop, 73, of Paris Crossing, passed away at 12:09 a.m. on Sunday,
December 10, 2023 at her residence. She was born on April 12, 1950 in Metcalfe
County, Kentucky the daughter of Carlies and Vera (England) Wilson. She was
raised in Westport and graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1968. Nell was a
member of Coffee Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed antiquing and baking. Nell
married David W. Bishop on October 4, 1970 at the Westport Baptist Church and he
survives. Other survivors include daughter, Jessica (Darryl) Stewart of New
Vienna, Ohio; son, Joshua (Jessica) Bishop of Carmel; sisters, Louise Wilson and
Jane Wilson both of Westport; brothers, Charles Wilson of Anderson, Fred
(Melody) Wilson of Ogilville, Ed Wilson of Greensburg and Ricky Wilson of
Columbus; grandchildren, Phoebe and Claire Bishop. She was preceded in death by
her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15,
2023 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held
on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral
home. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana
