GCHS hosts Senior Celebration to recognize post-secondary choices
(GREENSBURG) – Greensburg Community High School celebrated the post-secondary choices that seniors are making on Thursday, May 1.
Senior Celebration is an annual event to recognize the future plans of each senior after they graduate high school.
Some seniors signed with their college, while others signed to join the workforce. Two members of the Class of 2025 signed to join the military.
The annual event is organized by GCHS Guidance Counseling Department.
“It’s a celebration of not only what they plan to do after high school but where they plan to go,” said GCHS Guidance Counselor Kristy Tebbe said. “We love to celebrate the students and this event is a chance for them to feel good about their accomplishments in high school.”
Senior Celebration also included prizes that were made possible through a Decatur County Community Foundation, RECN and Stone’s NAPA. Treats were made by the Greensburg Community High School Culinary Arts program.
Prior to the event, Ivy Tech Community College recognized 43 seniors who will earn the Indiana College Core.
