The Chicken Inn is located on Hendricks Street in Shelbyville, IN. They provide family dining, and catering options. They are a family owned and operated business. The restaurant is co-owned by Bill Aughe and Kent Hankins.
According to their Facebook page they anticipated and prepared for 200 meals and ended up serving over 300.
After speaking with co-owner Bill Aughe, he shared, “The community has always supported us, and we wanted to give back. It’s important to be good corporate citizens and to help support our neighbors. When we come together, it brings people closer — and we need more of that in the world right now.”
He added, “This is our first time hosting this event at the restaurant, and we hope to do it again in the future. We also provide lunch twice a year for Wounded Warriors at Camp Atterbury, once in the spring and again in the fall.”
