South Decatur traveled to Tri High for Sectional 59 to battle North Decatur in round one. The Cougars scored first but only lead by one at the end of one 12-11. The Chargers started the second quarter strong. However it was Cougar #3 Gerrain hitting a three from the volleyball line with in seconds of the buzzer that sealed the fate of the Chargers going into halftime 37-23. The Cougars dominated the third quarter 53-40. The Chargers continued to battle on the floor to get the score but it wasn’t enough at the end of four. Final Score South Decatur 71 North Decatur 53. The Cougars advance to round two of Sectional 59 on Friday against Edinburg.
